Covid-19, the novel coronavirus, a tiny microscopic organism that is viral now not only to humans but also to the Govt. and in the media. The whole world is going into lockdown. PM Modi announced a 21-day all-India lockdown from March 25th to April 14th. Amidst of mixed reactions from the people, what can Modi’s smart Govt with technology outlook do to make our stay home less stressful?

Those working in digital fields have a facility to work from home without affecting their companies’ productivity. “Digital India” can be a platform in this context for all the citizens of India to work from home. Here is an example.

The govt. also has social media but is not that popular. Have you ever checked the mygov.in website? It is a platform for citizen engagement towards good governance. There are creative activities, competitions, quizzes, awards, thought sharing forums for creative works and opinions on this website.

In this site, Govt. has started a competition “COVID-19 solution challenge”. People can participate with various inputs like technology, innovative solutions to fight COVID-19. There are rewards of up to Rs. 1 lakh too.

There are many other interesting activities, quizzes, competitions which are fun and can be useful for achieving good governance. So, let’s stay at home and utilize this time in a creative and productive way by participating in this website.

Govt. should advertise and encourage people towards such platforms and create many other platforms to make people stay at home and cooperate and participate in the country’s progress. It can create a competition like “Creative and productive ideas with things available in the home” and should award the best innovative thoughts. This can be more productive and will also help the govt. in successfully curbing the spread of COVID-19.

Let’s stay home, stay healthy and be creative.
