In the wake of coronavirus, things are really not in our favour for the time being. Doctors, frontline workers are doing their level best to cure patients so that they can get back to their normal lives again.
However, things aren’t easy for them since the doctors have also been tested positive for coronavirus. First, they experience the symptoms, then they go forward with the test and if found positive, they are quarantined. They are then treated by doctors and nurses. The social distancing measures are followed from that day right until they are physically fit to go back home.
One can’t even imagine the pain and trauma they go through during this tough phase and the emotions they deal with. They are isolated. No one can meet or greet them during those days. If everything goes well and in their favour, they are sent back to their home, safe and sound.
But as soon as they return, they have to face the negative behaviour from their relatives and neighbourhood as if they have committed a sin and are getting back after a jail term. They don’t understand that it’s not a choice that was given to them nor did they deliberately come into contact with the virus. They face that trauma when people pass those looks and comments at them. Nobody is ready to help them and they are off ill-treated.
Please maintain social distancing because it’s the need of the hour and please don’t ill-treat the Covid-19 survivors.
