I am an engineering graduate student living in Delhi, preparing for government exams. Corona cases started to rise in early March and I had to go to my hometown for Holi on 9 March and the WHO declared Corona a pandemic soon after.
Now I am stuck at home, facing severe distress and no one is talking about unemployed graduates like me. But there is no use of panicking day and night about the circumstances students like me are going to face after this pandemic.
I have no books to study here at home, so I am preparing on my mobile phone. I have made a group with my friends who are preparing like me for Government exams and we share questions and quizzes. I read online newspapers and watch parallel Indian cinema and also movies made outside India.
The Indian Government has to start learning from this pandemic rather than being disquiet. Our Government has planned a lockdown for 21 days, but we are unable to do lots of tests on people who are experiencing symptoms. Doctors do not have the proper equipment like PPE and people are not cooperating with our respected doctors. We need to test a large number of people daily in this lockdown.
From the last 1 to 2 days, cases in India have risen by 500 in a single. The Government has to make people more and more aware by campaigning in every single district and instructing government officers to spread awareness down to the lowest levels working. Also, people who are Corona survivors should spread their awareness between people about how dangerous this virus is to make people more serious about this pandemic.
We have to support daily wage workers in whatever form we are capable of rather than burning crackers. Every household can feed a single poor person or one who is deprived of necessities. The Government has also started supporting them. But we as individuals should also pledge to help and if you see people are having problems and you are capable in any way to help them, you should.
A doctors profession is the world’s most significant around the globe right now. Like the soldiers serving on the borders, doctors are the soldiers working to save people and we should support them. Nowadays, we are listening to cases of discrimination against doctors. We should have to be shameful and have to understand their plight. In the end, I will say we will soon come out of this problem and start our life as before, so take lessons from it.
