 Poetry: I Am Not Available

Talk a little and
They think you are available.

Smile at them and
They think that you are ready
To go to bed with them.

Be a little caring (Oh, by the way caring is my nature)
They think that you are interested in them.

We all judge, don’t we?
But no, when asked they say—who am I to judge?
Right from the way you walk to the way you talk
All they see is your character.

Lighting a cigarette is a “black hole” in your character.
It’s like the cigarette gets lit and your character is judged in a bit.

Their friends say—oh, she won’t stay with you
She is just here for some fun.

Well… If I’m investing my memories with you that is more like—less fun more pain

Oh, you wore a skirt—they think (As Pooja says)—
“YOU ARE ASKING FOR IT”
“YOU ARE DYING FOR IT”

To all of you who judge us for the way we are—well we don’t give a damn! We are not available.
