Shaping An Accessible And Advanced Education System In India

We all are aware of the state of the Indian education system. Education is a basic right of every child and plays an important role in shaping our lives; however, there are still a lot of children in our country who are not able to go to school, and some children, who do go to school, are not able to pay their school fees. We cannot deny the fact that our government is working to improve the education system, but we still have a long way to go.

Times have changed, and today, we all are surrounded by technology. So, our schools and educational institutes should also be equipped with new technology. Every school, private or government, should be made to install CCTV cameras for students’ safety and provide smart boards, computers and other important equipment.

Every school and institute should focus on practical knowledge instead of focusing on theories. Schools should appoint qualified teachers as they play an important role in shaping the student’s future. In rural areas, teachers are not well-educated, to the extent that they don’t even have the knowledge of the subject they are supposed to be teaching.

The Fee structure is one of the major issues in our education system. Many students have had to leave their schooling mid-way because of high fees. Every parent wants their child to study in the best school. Government schools with affordable fees are still in very poor condition—they don’t have proper infrastructure and teachers are not regular in conducting their classes. Today, the education system is run mostly by private schools and institutions. However, their fees are so high that poor children cannot afford them. It is necessary that every school makes a proper and affordable fee structure so that every child gets a proper education. Nowadays, education has become a business. If you invest more money, then you will get the best education.

Another important issue is marks. Students are judged by their marks. If a student gets good marks in an exam, then they are termed as the best student, but if someone gets fewer marks, they are considered as weak students. Judging a student by his marks is not fair; if we focus on a student’s classroom performance and other co-curricular activities, then every student will give their best.

The Indian education system needs a strong infrastructure in which every child can get a proper education as per their rights and no one has to go to foreign countries for higher education.
