Poem: As The Whole World Weeps With You, Covid-19!

corona virus, health, covid, aasha bahn

कोरोना वायरस की प्रतीकात्मक तस्वीर

When you secretly sneaked in,
With your lofty carefree footprints,
From nowhere, untraced and uncertain,
Unaware of the misfortune,
of the toiling agonies full of exhaustion,
From the soil of Wuhan to the soil of States,
Lashing the Europeans to soaring deaths,
Leaving the whole world weep,

Like the typhoon you surrounded all,
Irrespective of age, caste, creed, or as you call,
At times you seem wilder than the SARS,
Other times you seem ageless, as you deny to go to Mars,
Mercilessly you are taking the lives,
Unaware of the consequence, as you glide,
And yet the whole world weeps,

Like a parasite you sway
With the time that twirls thy way,
From kids to oldies, you sparing none,
Unaware of the plaintive wails,
Of distress and grief that suffices the trails,
From lockdowns to tightening borders,
To economy crashings to share droppings,
From summoning self-isolation to social distancing, you just cared none,
Leaving the whole world weep,

Still undetected of you in many,
As you travel within them with no worry,
Unaware of the consequences, of turmoil, of repugnance,
You curse not the world, is what all pleads,
Tired of your strings of misleads,
Bring us back to the track of bloom, like we did,
The whole world prays for the salvation of their misdeeds,
It’s time for you to bid a goodbye,
To  unleash yourself to the world you belong to,
Away from the soil of Earth to a confine world of own,
Oh Covid-19, do not make the whole world weep anymore!!!
