How Does Meditation Help And How Does One Begin: A Complete Guide

Meditation

The divine purpose of meditation is ‘knowing yourself’, and connecting to the divine self within this body of flesh and bones. The word ‘meditation’, when broken down to its literal meaning, means ‘a channel or a medium of connection between the divine and the soul, and the medium used in this technique is through ‘thought’. When the speed of thoughts rises and the medium becomes weak, the purpose of meditation is to slow down this flow of thoughts in order to connect with the real roots within and achieve a congruent state.

How Can Meditation Help One Deal With Any Situation?

The very first situation that needs attention is to know who we are. We know the plus and minuses that we hold within, but knowing yourself is going beyond the temporary plus and minus beliefs that we have self-created. The process of travelling from who you think you are and to who you originally are is called knowing yourself.

How Do We Start?

To resolve the conflicts within and to centre our mind, it is very essential to acknowledge our true worth.

We are not just made of flesh and bones, or the product of five elements. We are way beyond the sciences and the cosmos; we’re one with the Divine. The need to know oneself arises when we do not feel worthy of who we are and what we have. Hence, this leads to disconnection with self. Knowing yourself deeply will eliminate the inadequate feeling that we have created in ourselves. We need to take our life in our control. This would only be possible if we learn to take our actions based on our thoughts and our thoughts based on our actions in control.

Mindspace will help you understand your internal self better by guiding you into different breathing techniques, which will provide you with an art of stillness that one requires. It is very much the need of the hour, to conquer this necessity and return back to our original self is the art we learn from meditation.
