A Letter To My Sprightly-Spirited Mother

Hi ma, I hope you are doing well without me. Actually, it is you who has always wished that I live my life without your presence. But unfortunately, you have not trained me to make my life better without you. I feel I am living only to breathe. It doesn’t make sense. Each day is a saga of your memories haunting me.

As a working woman; tyranny was your ornament of choice. You have taught me how to struggle in this cut-throat world. But you have not imbibed me with the lessons of manipulation and exploitation. I am feeling restless ma. I can’t walk any more on this thorny juncture of life. I need your unconditional hug.

Representative image.

Still, I need your warm hands folded in mine. Please ma, hold me again. Make me feel the same security and protection. Drive me out of this dark and shattered world. I need you. I know this futile deceptive world will never render me the love my soul craves. It is only you who can make a difference. Please come back from the unseen realm from where nobody returns. I beg you to make me feel your presence no matter how subtle, perhaps in a dream.

Bye.

Your Little Dove, Ria.
