As we all know that the whole country is under lockdown to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 as it is popularly known as. The first phase of lockdown started on March 24, 2020, and it was supposed to go on till April 15, 2020. The second phase of the lockdown started from April 15 to May 3. The third phase of lockdown started from May 3 and has been extended till May 17. We might soon have the fourth phase of lockdown after May 18, 2020.
Having said that, I am going to tell, through this article, how me and my family are spending the lockdown together. In the morning I help my mother and my sister with the household chores, like sweeping the floor, watering the plants on my terrace, and more. After that, I have breakfast with my family as we all believe in the “a family that eats together stays together” ideology.
I also watched Ramayana and the Mahabharata which airs on DD National with the family. I also play games with my family. Till now we’ve played Ludo, Uno, Chinese Checkers, Carrom, and so on and so on. We also watch good shows on OTT platforms together such as Special Opps on Hotstar Disney plus and Money Heist on Netflix.
If there is one positive thing that this lockdown has brought, it is that it has brought families together. And people are spending more time with their families which they didn’t do earlier as they didn’t have enough time for the family because of their busy schedule.
We may have to follow ‘Social Distancing’ to curb the spread of COVID-19 but it has brought people together virtually. For instance, one day I was talking to my cousins and distant relatives on the Zoom app. So, one can even stay connected with their distant relatives through social media platforms and can keep a check on them but n these uncertain times.
