Maa, the word itself stirs so many emotions within us. This word makes a huge connection deep within the core of the heart of every individual.
Every mother in this whole world deserves a salute for making us the way we are today. I stand in awe of how beautifully she has faced every circumstance and always come up with a smile. She smiles, because we smile.
The most threatening that makes me cry deep down is her sacrifice that she has made for the whole family, for her children.
“What did we even do to make her happy?” Did we ever make her sit the whole day, made her good food or took care of her just like she does for us? The answer is a big No. I bet no one did. Even I myself have never done it! The fact is, deep down, we all know that the way our mothers have cared for us, we won’t be able to do it for them.
But, there is a need to look into ourselves and ask if we actually give her all the love and respect that she deserves, or if she’s just there for household chores and taking care of us. Leaving my home, I learnt that: Maa hai toh yeh jahaan hai; maa hai toh hum sab hai; maa se hi sab kuch hai (We have the whole world, each one of us only because we have mother; everything comes from her)
I hope every day is a Mother’s Day, so that the sacrifices made by her do not go in vain.
