Making A Family With Child Adoption

Adoption is a legal process through which a person can become a parent to the child even though the child and parent aren’t related by blood. This process helps in creating a family for both the adult person and the child.

Who Can Adopt?

In India, anyone can adopt children and according to 2015 reforms, there are categories made for the adoption process among Indians, NRIs and so on. The report of the Indian Association for promotion of adoption and child welfare states that single parent child adoption has been rising here.

What Is The Process Of Adoption?

For the process of adoption, the government of India has a website called CARA through which the whole procedure takes place. Once registration is done the consent of both parents is necessary, in case of couples. A social worker is sent to a house visit to check if the house is suitable for the child. Good familial relations and financial stability are necessary.  After the legal process, the child is legally your own child after adoption. In 2000, Miss Universe Sushmita Sen inspired single women to adopt children as she adopted two daughters.

A New Life

Adoption ensures a new life for the child as well as you. It enables you to enjoy the joys of having a child and creating a familial atmosphere. There are around 6 crore children up for adoption and 3 crore couples who aren’t able to conceive but only around 4 thousand children are adopted annually so it will be beneficial for both couples and single parents to come forth and adopt children and form a beautiful family of your own.
