Misguided Mob, Agonized Killing Of Humanity Not Saffron

“A society with lynch culture needs a big zoo, not for the animals definitely, but for the very people themselves!” ―                                                                                                                                                                         Mehmet Murat Ildan

On 16th April, a blood curdling crime took place amidst the lockdown in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The videos of murderous assault on two Sadhus and their driver have send shockwaves across the country. While the whole country was undergoing a composite lockdown, these two Hindu monks were being lynched and meanwhile the cops were watching. The two Sadhus were wearing their saffron identity which left no doubt on ‘who they were’ and ‘what the intention of the killers was’. Their car was stopped, the Sadhus were stoned. And, no, Udhav Thackeray ji, this is not a case of mistaken identity. Udhav Thackeray ji, this is absolutely a case where their identity made them a target of lynching goons. Herein, I believe that the chief minister must have had courage to speak against it because in his state the Hindu Sadhus were stopped and surrounded from all sides.

They were attacked with axes and sickles and then in the full presence of police they were brutalized nonstop again and again till their cries turned into silence and they died on the floor with the police to witness the murder. Let me ask if this has happened in the state run by BJP and if instead of Hindus the ones who have been lynched had been from any minority community then would the lot and ‘Award Wapsi gang’ would they have gone busuk today. The scroll and Washington post all have gone out along with fault news. Thinking of headlines to classify India as an intolerant state where minorities have no place would they say today that in one of the largest states of the country the majority has no place. Would they say that?

In one of the largest state of country this act of blood shedding happened and nation wants to know about who is the person behind the downplaying of the lynching incident of Palghar. The police allowed the murder to happen right in front of them. Lutyens media plays down the identity and liberal lobby go silent. The lynching of Hindu Monks exposes the pseudo seculars. When lynched in the presence of policemen from Maharashtra fell on the deaf ears of the state police who allowed the murder of Hindu Monks right in front of their eyes and refused to do anything. The Udhav Thackery lead Sonia Sena government woke up to this brutality after 72 hours. When it is known fact that Hindu monks were killed because of their identity he dares to say that there is nothing communal about it.

It is not about whether it is communal or not, alone? The question raises is of abject, uncompromising hypocrisy. The fake news champions, the Lutyens media tried to inject communal angle even in India’s Covid fight has today gone completely silent. Is it only because those who are murdered brutally were Hindus? The men in Khaki were supporting the mob and did not condemn this heinous incident. The country was passing through the grave situation but these professional illiterates dared to lynch the two innocent Sadhus.

The question here is who is undermining. The nation has many questions they say that they have been investigating where are those police people who were handling those trail Sadhus to the mob, are they being questioned? What was their motto to be there, how they connected with the mob, how they let the mob happen this in front of them? They say misconception. What was the misconception? Mr. Chief Minister must be asked that what action was taken against his own state police when cops picked up the 70 year old crying Hindu monk and handed him over to his killers. How can India be blind today even after seeing the act of insanity? When those hypocrites will speak?

All these questions are not answered and here the nation wants to know that why such thing happened amidst the lockdown. Who is responsible for this act? The police acted so carelessly and even the government of that state kept their silence and let wrong things happen in Palghar. The so called liberals’ brigade who lectures on human rights violation on drop of a hat clearly seems to reserve its outrage based on ideology and not on humanity.
