“Mother, You Are The Epitome Of Confidence”

Tears roll down her eyes when she sees her child come out of her womb.

Her heart starts throbbing when she holds her 9 months old ‘Mini life’ in her hands.

Ecstasy struck her when she watches her toddler taking first tiny wiggly steps.

A sense of victory surrounds her when she makes her baby take a sound sleep.

She feels overwhelmed when the first word of her child echoes in her ears.

Fear overpowers her emotions when the child steps out for school first time without her.

Her feet do not touch the ground when her child brings the first winning medal.

She never stops boasting about her child’s stage confidence among her relatives.

Tons of anxieties envelop her mind when she sends the now grown up child away for studies.

Overjoyed is such understatement when she embraces first job appointment letter from her child.

Her continuous sobbing is no exaggeration when she receives a heartfelt gift from her child’s first salary.

Her child’s slight cough makes her feel doubtful of her competence of not taking appropriate care.

Curiosity lingers in her mind when she learns an arrival of another special person in her child’s life.

Holding her child’s baby in hands is a sense of contentment and a reason to see a glimpse of her child.

Her heart saddens when the same child creates another virtual world of expectations and ambitions with her minimal involvement.

She persuades herself to be more considerate and empathetic towards her child’s ‘Personal Space’.

She remains bothered with her child spending lesser time with her and more in the ever-growing survival sprint.

Her stress surges when her child often skips a meal and get submerged in pleasing the superficial world.

She feels disheartened yet optimistic of spending some more worthy time with her child as before.

She looks for excuses to grab her child’s responsiveness to get to listen to a few mystical words.

Waiting to have food with her child is nothing exceptional but to take note of how the day went in the office.

Eagerly eyeing on the weekend is not to go outing, but to see her child relaxing at home, 24 hours a day.

She breathes to get harmony by seeing her children blossoming and a family standing shoulder to shoulder to face every situation with concord.

A ‘Mother’ is a word which is mainly associated with sacrifice and sympathy. She is a person who can put everything on stake to see her family standing tall in all adversities and pleasures.

I strongly believe, a Mother is a person who undoubtedly nourishes the family in terms of emotional, financial, sentimental and rational way. Whether she is a bread-earner or not, it is because of her mindful essence which moulds our prominent personalities. It is not easy to measure the amount of care and warmth she puts in nurturing everyone who comes in her periphery. Few might think how is it so eminent for me to give such laurels to mothers?

They say when you face the same situation only then you get to know the stress and strains one had gone through to accomplish what they are today!

Being a mother myself, it has become so certain for me to never undervalue the minuscule step taken by our mothers to nurture us without expecting mountains in return. We owe a huge debt of giving them a world where we find ourselves bringing a smile on their face. A house where there are no wall partitions, but a compassionate shed to protect the family. A helping hand when she is busy challenging her limitations. A protective loop of arms when she feels everything is falling apart. And a genuine reason to celebrate life with all audacity.
