Lockdown Diaries: Cherish The Freedom You Have, Learn To Value It

lockdown extended for two weeks

लॉकडाउन 3.0 में मिल रही है छूट

Restlessness, surfing the internet, using social media, scrolling news feed up and down, this is my lockdown day. Though we are in lockdown, we are not alone; the entire world is experiencing this.

The things which used to be enjoyable and gave happiness earlier seem to be boring; the world is in our mobile but we are getting bored of it; we have thousands of options on what to do, but we don’t know what to do. Earlier during a vacation, staying at home was a choice but now it is the only option. And in this situation, I think about the people who are prisoners of war or people who are in jail, with no internet, no facilities, no life. They do not even have a choice and freedom, and on the contrary, we are getting bored over small and silly things.

Our laziness is probably their biggest dream and then I wonder that maybe the freedom that what we want in our life, freedom from work, laziness, responsibilities, diseases, hunger, fear, expectations and sometimes freedom from vacation, now, this is the freedom that will give us highest happiness, joy, and comfort and in this situation, there is one thing we should remind ourselves. Freedom may not be easy but freedom is a choice, you are in lockdown but you are not knocked down, this is not a shutdown. We will become habituated to this. We will be able to embrace it and get influenced by it.

If we see deeply, we are locked down somewhere or the other. Some are locked in jails, some are locked in a cage, and some are locked in the aquarium, some are locked in a room, some are locked in their responsibilities, some are locked in others’ expectations, we are locked in planet earth and we all are locked in our brain, so it is important to give ourselves freedom. Celebrate the time with inner freedom. You may not get to see it shortly; everything has an expiry date, as Albert Einstein said, life is just like riding a bicycle, to keep moving, you got to keep moving.
