Trigger Warning: Suicide
In a shocking revelation, eminent Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide at his residence, early Sunday morning, June 14. Some of his friends were present at his residence when the body was found. A suicide note, however, has not been discovered yet.
A Patna native, Sushant completed Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU) before he commenced his pursuit of acting. He rose to popularity playing the protagonist in the popular TV show Pavitra Rishta alongside Ankita Lokhande. His debut on the silver screen started with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che in 2013 where he was cast alongside Rajkumar Rao and Amit Saadh.
Rajput became a prominent star with his strong and natural acting style, in slightly off-beat movies like Shudh Desi Romance and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. One of his most popular blockbusters is the biopic on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, MS Dhoni- The Untold Story and his portrayal of the former cricket captain of India garnered much appreciation.
