Will India’s App Ban Have An Affect On China?

india china

Not our honour, but our friendly neighbour’s self-perception of her honour.

The federal government has given 48 hours for the management of the banned apps to explain themselves.

Seems to be a bit of a flip-flop of policy.

I am not one at all to advocate for people’s right to choice in apps to be diminished.

However, adverse circumstances may require us to sometimes act in ways that would be seen as unnecessary and vile when not in these times.

It’s also not that I don’t sympathise with all the effort the millions of TikTok users funnel into their accounts.

It’s a political move. It would grow on China, and their stance of adventurism would ultimately crumble. That’s because it’s not about how much China sells, she cares about whom the sales go to.

Yes, picking an economic war with China, with the right restrictions at the right moment would ensure that China would back off.

No joke.

Be fair, be proportionate, be intelligent and be kind while making these moves and the tyrant will retreat. I promise you.
ise you.
