A Big Reform In Our Education System Is The Need Of The Hour

Exams are on. Students are busy in their studies and, their teachers and parents are busy forcing them to study. The pressure is always on a student. I believe that student life is the time for learning new things but our ‘Low-Quality High Budget’ education system doesn’t seem to let us do so. I don’t understand how but our society has created a norm to give respect to only those people who have a degree and it doesn’t matter whether the degree is real or fake.

Nobody cares about our talent and self-growth which is the most important thing for being a human. So coming back to the school board exams which are considered to be very important as per our society. During our board exams, our school wants the best result from us which is beneficial for their growth and our parents want the best result so that society can accept us. But in this process, the problems are faced by a student. Nobody wants to talk about the stress and anxiety faced by a student and you know why this happens? It’s because they also haven’t been talked about it their time and this legacy continues till now. The result day is also one of the most important and horrifying days of student life.

The worst part is that if a student gets fewer marks due to any reason then s/he is forced to feel like a failure by our so-called educated society. The word failure is tagged to a student for their entire life and everyone keeps on reminding them of their failure. It can lead to serious mental issues like depression, anxiety and in some cases, the students even commit suicide. During the preparation of our board exams, we are not even allowed to play and our physical fitness also gets destroyed.

The student who has a lot of interest in studies should be challenged to give a high score but every student cannot be a topper. Also, we have the same syllabus going on for the last 40 years and this is one of the biggest reasons why India cannot become a superpower. So if we want to change the country, we need a big reform in our education system
