Women face many problems during periods , then imagine the state of a women with mentally retarded women. Menstural cycle is a cyclic process in women once in 28 days but what will the situation of mentally retarded women and how will she tackle this?

Average / normal have the option of wearing tampon , menstrual cups. But a mentally retarded women can only wear sanitary pads and she can’t insert a tampon and caretaker has to insert it.
Leakage, stain because of sanitary pads makes the mentally retarded women discomfartable but she has no option but to wear it.

Forced sterilisation. There are many methods such as :
- Removal of uterus
- Injecting hormones to sterile mentally retarded women
But there are people who can’t afford this because of economic problems , lack of access to facilities and many more such problems.
Though there are many side effects of this method but there is no option.There must be a awareness about this issue so that no faces difficulties. The periods of mentally retarded women is much needed topic . Because lack of menstural hygiene is the fifth biggest killer in the world.75% women get contracted to diseases because of lack of menstural hygiene.
So let us create an awareness how a mentally retarded women suffers during periods
