Poem: Silence

As the moonlight smears through the calm waters,

The wanderer walks through the park.

Gazing at the obsolete stones

Slathering his ruins apart.

He crouches for desolation

He crouches for regards

He grins at his faith

He screams inside his heart.

A passerby stares in his eyes

Contemplating his feeling;

Feeling pity on his situation

Feeling the helplessness in the fallen man’s being.

The man moves his eyes

And gives a faint smile

Not as a gesture of embarrassment

But as an answer for his cry.

He wandered through the hills,

He wandered through the mountains,

He wandered through the crowds,

He wandered through the gardens.

But no journey gave him the resolution

The empathy he had wanted

Which he thoughtfully founded

In his utter silence.
