You need to read this if social media affects your life.

Social Media Envy

Have you ever heard about it? It’s okay! I’ll help you here. Most of the people who are active on social media platforms already know that we have continuous access to the life of our friends, pseudo friends, and celebrities with the help of different social media platforms that also helps in so many informative updates as well as keeps us busy and acts as a favourite pastime for most of the users.
But what is it that we see there? How everyone is presenting a perfectly idealized life! Showing pictures of their vacations, happy faces of their family, some showing off their fancy cars, showing their success, and whatnot. Everything looks so perfect in other lives. That creates this term FOMO (fear of missing out). Brings jealousy and envy.
It can make you feel bad about yourself. You will get competitive about this social media thing or sometimes even jealous. Don’t worry, it’s natural if you think you should feel happy about others and sometimes you don’t feel so (humans are inherently competitive).

How Negatively Does It Effect Us?

It also brings depression and anxiety and that’s what ruining the lives of our generation. We are so much into showing off rather than living in a moment. There are some of the social media users, all they do is thinking (how to make their social media profile look good and show people how much fun they’re having! How lucky they are!) We get so affected from everything in this society whether it is true or not. And that’s how our youth is getting doomed. We are lacking in our own opinions, we don’t even know what makes us happy.
Remember! Nobody will ever show the negative phase of their life in social media. It is that side of social media that nobody likes to admit as to how infected it is making us. It has the most negative effect on our mental health. We even get insisted to follow the lives of people we haven’t even met in real.  Every other small social media issue like privacy and fraud looks invisible in front of this- a fake world that is so toxic in real.
We are just followers and we are following our favourite YouTuber’s opinion, we are following our favourite memer’s opinion without even finding the facts- that’s where we fail!
