I had once been to Hong Kong about 8 years ago when my step-dad took my twin sister and me, there, as a family. I remember the busy nights and the views I had while we were traveling to a hilltop. Skyscrapers, everywhere. Something of awe.
No, I’m of course still kinda irritated at the border situation but I’m so proud of the measured, tactful, and impactful diplomacy being used by the Government Of India here. It makes sense now that the legislative assembly of Hong Kong and its separate legal system be dissolved with time. That’s going to be one big step.
