With the pandemic shutting down businesses, and the corporate world doing retrenchment measures, a class of people face a dilemma whether to go back to seek jobs outside or seek jobs in their home state.
Bihar is a large base providing a large bulk of unskilled labour and in these corona times, many labourers have returned from other parts of India to Bihar, seeking industry in Bihar.
Particularly, monsoon is a challenging time for India, lightning strikes in parts of Bihar, and flooding happens too in North Bihar and parts of Patna. Add to that the broken down medical system, and big hospitals like NMCH, AIIMS have a very small capacity to contain all corona patients. Even in isolation centres, medical facilities are not enough to sustain the patients.
Nitish, the CM of Bihar says that new industry policy will be framed soon, with the state closing in for legislative elections in November 2020.
