Some Books I Read During The Lockdown

book shelf

Since our honourable prime minister announced the lockdown, we were caught by surprise. People were stuck at home. All the bustling came to a sudden standstill. Everyone was grappling with uncertainty and risk. This was once in a century moment. We have not experienced this before. Many people struggled to find ways to pass the time at home in a productive manner while some people enjoyed staying away.

This lockdown provided us with an opportunity to spend time with family and to explore our hobbies. When the lockdown was announced, I was sure it would be for a long time. And I did not want to let this time go in waste. I wanted to utilise it in the best possible way. So I decided to read books at a faster pace than usual. I have tried many books in many genres. But my inner calling was always for spiritual books. I decided to read as many books as possible of spiritual leaders.

I googled about many spiritual leaders. I got the list such as Osho, Sadhguru, J Krishnamurti. I had already read a couple of books by Sadhguru and watched many of his discourses. He was the reason I developed an interest in spirituality. He recently published a book called Death: An Insider Story. I ordered it. I read it page by page. It was an enlightening read.

Then, I decided to go for Bhagwan Rajneesh, aka Osho. I have heard about him a lot from my friends. I ordered a couple of books and some soft copies to read on my kindle device. List of books by him:

I also read Akbar: The Great Mughal by Ira Mukhoty. I recommend everyone to read Osho once in life before you die. He will change the way you look at life. You will see an internal and invisible purification in yourself.

I productively utilised my time in the lockdown. I enjoyed the lockdown days. I also tried my hand at writing which I am finding difficult to continue. I have written a couple of times on Youth Ki Awaaz and Quora.
