“Stop wasting your time on games like PUBG,” my mother told me exactly a year and half ago.
PUBG Mobile is one of the most hated smartphone games for Indian parents. While most of the Indian parents criticise this game, only a few really appreciate it. Like every Indian parent, my mother also criticised me a lot for shouting at home while playing this game with my friends. But in the end, everything changed.
The craze for PUBG motivated me to write on Quora (a Q&A platform), just for fun. My answers were getting appreciation, and Quora Digest (viral answer forwards to millions) changed my life.
While I was struggling with my skills in Military Base, Bootcamp and Picado, I was simultaneously writing on Quora, I was approached by Mayank P Vora, former e-sports manager at Sportskeeda (e-sports website in India), and a great human beings. He saw my answers on Quora Digests and offered me an internship-cum-job opportunity.
Short story short, I started earning from PUBG, crossed five million views on Sportskeeda, interviewed top e-sports mentors and players, got in touch with big names including Scout, attended Fnatic Loco Greatness Grind 2020, achieved a ‘Senior Analyst’ tag, got featured in Google Trending News, and lots more.
Do what you love. Life is unpredictable.
