Menstruation | Periods

Before moving on to any other conversations, let’s understand what is the definition of the term MENSTRUATION.

First of all, it’s a biological process of a WOMAN’S BODY. A SIMPLE BIOLOGICAL PROCESS.

Discharge of infertile eggs on maturation is menstruation. It uses blood and mucus as the medium for discharge. This takes place from the inner lining of the uterus through the vagina. It is also known as PERIODS.

Now, as a matter of fact, we generally think that a lot of blood flows out during the menstruation. But believe me, IT DOES NOT HAPPEN IN REALITY. It’s just a trifling few ounces. It seems a whole lot more because alongside blood we get uterine lining, tissues, cervical mucus and vaginal secretions.

Now let’s know about the normal menstrual cycle.
The average cycle is about 28 days long. But anything between 21 and 45 is absolutely normal. Generally young individuals, during the first or 2 years of the start of menstruation, they tend to have longer cycles and that doesn’t start at the same time every month. But older individuals have a shorter cycle and more consistent periods.

Now let’s discuss an important factor.
PERIOD IS NOTHING OF BEING ASHAMED. Please pay heed to this. In the very first, we have mentioned the phrase ” SIMPLE BIOLOGICAL PROCESS.”
There are many myths about menstruation.

One of them is: Women during periods are not allowed to go to temples.
It is quite an illogical thing. Menstruation happens to all women. It does not mean that they have to abide by different rules and regulations set up according to the males. Gender equality is harmed by it. At the present time, with so many advancements in different fields, we should not have a gender biased system here.

Another myth is women cannot take bath during periods. It’s quite difficult to understand that how can these myths be still active when such great leaps have been taken in advancement. We need to maintain our hygiene properly. And believe me, BATH DOES NOT AFFECT PERIODS.

During menstruation, women often go through mood changes. It’s our responsibility to take care of women.

Another important topic. Yes, guys. Menstruation is such a topic which itself says many things.

Next discussion is about the diseases that can occur and how to prevent them. Girls often suffer from many diseases. PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE. Many diseases occur due to the usage of the same pads for a longer time. HYGIENE SHOULD BE MAINTAINED. Women should change their pads regularly.

In the end, just wanna say that
° PERIOD IS A NORMAL THING.
° WOMEN, PLEASE DO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH AND HYGIENE. DO EXERCISE. TAKE PROPER FOOD. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF DURING PERIODS.
°TO THE MALES, THERE IS ONLY ONE REQUEST. PLEASE DO PROVIDE ALL THE ESSENTIALS TO THE WOMEN OF THE FAMILY SO THAT THEY DON’T GET ANY DISEASES. HANDLE THE MOOD SWINGS CAREFULLY. TRY TO COMFORT HER MENTALLY DURING PERIODS AND KEEP HER SAFE.
