Respected Sir,
I pen this letter as a responsible, but disappointed, citizen in our country I would like to draw your kind consideration towards all the problems which we are facing currently. Corruption is a disease spread everywhere, which is more dangerous than COVID-19.
COVID-19 will go away after some time but the disease of corruption will not go easily. This is common in all the sectors of the government, so we need to take some strict steps to exterminate this ‘disaster’.
A monitoring committee must be established to stop all the corruption under the various branches, and strict laws must be implemented to overcome these issues.
Education, poor infrastructure and fund crunch, the gap between education and industry, poor global ranking are some loopholes which need to be resolved in the education sector soon.
Funds must be enhanced for inclusive education, building infrastructure, and for teachers. Affordable fees, technology, and a committee for analysis and monitoring are also required.
Poverty is not given by God. I feel that it is common because of corruption, which is prevailing almost everywhere.
Millions of people are living under the poverty line, which is not satisfactory. We need to think about the causes of the rise in prices and low agricultural productivity.
The exploitation of farmers has also enhanced the need for some rule and policy which is based on the welfare of farmers. The lowrate of economic development is affecting the price at which they can sell. So, we need to provide better living conditions for our citizens. A special framework must be made and followed to support our farmers.
Women’s safety is a very serious issue that comes up every day. 34,000 rape cases in India were reported in 2018 alone. There are other crimes against women that are also increasing, such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, and more. The lack of implementation of laws strictly is a major cause that’s not leading to the reduction of these crimes. We need strict rules and fast-track courts to resolve all the cases which have been pending for long. According to a report, U.P tops the list in crimes against women.
Joblessness is a major issue, as we have various skills and handicraft for one’s livelihood, but the lack of resources for some advance skill training programme and financial support is a deterrent. India’s unemployment rate remained steady at 23.5% in May 2020, according to a survey conducted by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). This was not a significant deviation from unemployment numbers in the previous month.
We need to work efficiently to get rid of all these issues. Vacancies must be issued which must be based on skills. The education and job sector must be looked at in a way that we can provide jobs to everyone.
