Gupteshwar Pandey, Former Bihar DGP and the man of all seasons for Nitish Kumar, stunned everyone by opting for Voluntary Retirement Scheme(VRS). It was for his industriousness, efficiency and efforts that Sushant Singh Rajput death case got transferred to the CBI.
Serious concerns were raised on the probe being carried by the Mumbai Police into the matter. Mumbai Police’s probe securing and safeguarding the interests of those directly involved in Sushant case came under the scanner. Gupteshwar Pandey owned up the chance and charge to bringing Sushant Singh Rajput’s perpetrators to justice. At first by sending batches of Bihar Police to Mumbai and secondly, by questioning the connivance of the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Government.
Placing himself as the self-appointed spokesperson of Nitish babu, his daily feeds ensured fodder for our media trying to broach every bit in detail. Facts were twisted and tweaked in favour of a trial which saw media assassinating our conscience. Conclusions were drawn and doubts were side steeped as we were told of Rhea’s intentional involvement in Sushant’s death.
Whether Sushant was abused and drugged was for our central investigating agencies to locate?
But there seemed to be an overlap as the revelations took the shape of rhetorics. Gupteshwar Pandey perfectly and purposefully decorated his act to be presented and put forward. In 2009, he backed out from taking VRS on Nitish babu’s advice and suggestion. But now, why is he overexpressing himself on the VRS part? Better to engage and enter into politics than clearing our perceptions of him.
Let there be no argument of him joining politics as he has made the decision in his personal space. Being a dutiful and democratic citizen he has all the right to run for political office, profile and position. We shouldn’t allow ourself to unnecessarily stretch ourselves in debating his choice.
But, Mr DGP, don’t you believe that you in your career focused more on patronage than probity? I am not saying it but your body language sums it all Mr DGP, as were your thoughts on #JusticeforSushant. I don’t understand why was it painted so colourful for you to walk the extra mile.
I believe you should have restrained yourself at one point but you unnecessarily dragged yourself into all of it. Being a finest and experienced hand in police services we expected that you will bring this case to a logical end. We hugely expected when you began looking after this investigation but unfortunately, we all feel let down Mr DGP. Sushant’s death has been highly mocked, dramatized and sensationalized for enhancing viewership and toasting TRPs.
Moment of seeking justice has gone by after you announced your rescue for an altogether new role of wearing a Khadi. As you are done with wearing a Khaki Mr DGP, tell us is there any scope of closure in Sushant’s death case?
I know your destination is close by from wearing a Khaki now to a Khadi but for Sushant, his afterlife will continue to wander for peace. We all should take the burden of our guilt, shouldn’t we Mr DGP?
