Meet ‘Royal Dinesh’, A ‘Digital Creator’ Raiding Zoom Classes For Fun

A lot has been written about the way teachers are treated or ill-treated by the students during the online class sessions. I won’t talk about the way students are behaving in those classes, but I have something else to bring to everyone’s notice. As if students were not enough to create a nuisance in the class, some of our youth have taken it on themselves to create havoc in the ongoing classes.

My mom is a teacher, and during one of her classes, this gentleman entered the class and pretended to be an official from Zoom warning her about her ID being hacked. In a panic, she created a new ID and was told that he was a digital creator who does pranks like this. Later we tried looking up for this man who goes by the name Royal Dinesh on YouTube and found his work of art. This is what he does. He raids into classes pretending to be from zoom.

Let me tell you; this doesn’t stop here. There are Instagram pages by the name of Zoom raid mentioning ‘highjacking classes’. I  want to ask, “Do the teachers  deserve this?”

At this age, they struggle with the technical aspects of the online class, home chores, and so much more.

What example is the youth setting for these school kids?

Digital Platforms should be used to educate and entertain. But unfortunately, for some digital creators, the only way to get views and subscribers is by stooping so low. What they think is funny and amusing, is actually, immature and juvenile.

Also, Zoom should look into such  activities as these raiders pose as officials from Zoom, who enter the class to save the teachers from some sort of scam or virus. As a youth myself, I expect creators to use their handles and accounts more responsibly and set a good example. Teachers work hard, and such invaders are the last thing they need in the class.
