Poem: The Abyss Of Nothingness

“All that glitters is not gold,”

But auriferous articles are the ones outsold.

A cursory glance at the dullest of artwork,

Runs down years of hard work.

Is it time for us to rethink our notions,

For without it we might never come to fruition.

Utopian as it may sound, it may well be time for us to redeem ourselves and make amends,

For there are bridges for us to mend.

The holy writ said that the steadfast love of the lord never ceases,

But in our hearts the pang of despondence never eases.

So now the onus is upon us to foray against our willingness,

Or else we might be headed south; into the abyss of nothingness.
