To Vamshi Sir: My Mentor, Friend, And Big Brother

To Vamshi sir,

Mentor, friend, and elder brother.

Sub: Teachers’ day celebration.

I remember when I had nothing to do in my life because I was disappointed by my unsuccessful ‘job hunt’ trip to Dubai in 2017. Unfortunately, I couldn’t crack a job in my field within 3 months of touring Dubai. The day I landed there I was filled with aspirations and hope but I did not perceive that like me there were thousands of graduates and professionals searching desperately for a job. Things got worse when the visa expired on December 30, 2017. I was supposed to return to India as early as possible.

When I reached my hometown I was left with two options: To try again or else look for other opportunities abroad. I decided to choose the second one as my worried mom told me to do so. I didn’t want to disappoint her again. I was damn serious about my future goals but I was unemployed and she wanted me to enrol in the IELTS coaching. I looked for some institutes and finally, by her friend Vinuta ma’am’s suggestion, I met this amazing and inspiring mentor, Vamshi sir.

The day I met him, I was feeling extremely nervous and feared being called a failure. By the way, Vamshi sir was qualified in psychological studies. He better understood my situation by reading my facial expression and observing my actions. He comforted me with his inspirational words that touched my heart and soul. From the day of joining until finishing the IELTS training, I inherited the power of his hopes, confidence, and wisdom in me.

I want to thank him for the kind of support and valuable lessons he taught me, that will remain within me forever. Most of my friends and relatives don’t know how he changed my life. It was only him who inspired me to choose content writing as an alternative job besides being an engineering graduate.

On this teacher’s day, I send my love and best wishes upon him for beginning his newly married life.

Thank you, sir, for changing my life, for being the brightest sun in such darkest days of my life.

Your’s favourite student and closet buddy,

Mohammed Zahoor Khan.
