Why Can’t Media Be Truthful To Its Viewers?

Media is one of the most powerful sectors of an economy. It is a tool to maintain a balanced society characterised by well informed people, effective democracy and social justice. In fact, media has unparalleled influence on all aspects of human life in modern times. But the current media only parrots the government and works for them.

The media can’t say the truth behind the news they give to the public. We all know that the media is an important part of our democracy, but the government is always interfering in the matter of newsrooms and doesn’t let them say the truth. This is a major problem in today’s world and we must support our country.

Who is responsible for this type of nonsense news that ends up becoming a major topic for news channels? The channels are showing rubbish news and have no idea about our old policies and big scams, and then they say our economy is going down day by day. Why? Who is responsible for this? News channels can’t speak the truth because of fear of death.

When we see from another direction, the media has destroyed our culture by popularising competitions such as Miss Femina, Miss World and Miss Universe. These have destroyed lives of many young girls. Media is not a business. One is unable to see the people who run behind the stage. Harassment cases of female models are increasing day by day. Women’s security is a big issue for women today.
