Why Loving Pakistan Doesn’t Make Me Anti-National

My love for Pakistan is not merely because of the fact that it’s a rival country, it was the homeland for our civilisation just like Israel was considered as a homeland by Jews. In reality, the real Hindu homeland is Sindh, and it’s not a religion. It is beginning of the great Religion of Sikhism by Guru Nanak Dev, it is the martyrdom cemetery of three great warriors- Bhagat Sikh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, and in my opinion, Pakistan is also the true holy land of modern India. Only if Jinnah didn’t aspire for a separate state, we would have been together. But, today, it is still a Khandit Bharat.

I do not believe that history imposed on us, war imposed on us, and tyranny imposed upon the Kashmiris avenging the 90s tragedy. I don’t believe the killing of soldiers is necessary or good, but our previous generations have made a lot off the mess, we would need time to clear it. I never believed in an ideology or ideologue imposed upon us by RSS or Government.

I do not think that Pakistan is India’s enemy, I think the true enemy of the nation are politburo, politicians and bureaucrats, who were supposed to be the real rulers but they made us miserable every time. I think India’s enemy is the corporates, who delivered our culture to the West but brought their garbage back home.

I do not believe that just defending our nation by hook or crook in debates will help resolve problems in our nation, we need to focus on introspective nationalism. I don’t give aman and shanti slogan to oppose the war, I believe we must fight the war within our country first.

As much as I love Gandhi, I love Jinnah as well, others cannot decide whether I am a nationalist or not. The dogma to stand with black or white, and I choose both to be a part of me. And partition was a conspiracy to keep Karachi out of reach of Russia, as it will harm the interest of Britain. The ignorant man Radcliffe created a country over some hours of haste. And so was the decision of partition.

Owing to all these reasons I don’t think loving Pakistan makes me anti-national, except for Islamic fundamentalism. The essence of both countries is the same.
