Today we are standing in a world plagued with coronavirus or COVID-19. The whole world is enduring this pandemic. The real face of humanity can be seen now.
Certain posts relating to the Mother Earth healing went viral. Like the photo of Himalaya’s seen from Punjab. It’s really good to hear! People from all over the world are posting and witnessing the healing of Earth. The Ganges and Yamuna are also healing, as no industries are working, and no chemicals are polluting the water.
I sometimes feel that this pandemic is well-planned-out by mother earth to heal herself. In my locality, I saw birds like Sparrow and Koyal – after years. If this lockdown extends, we will surely be in a better place, in terms of climate change.
How Can We Reverse Climate Change?
Research states, we have no more than 10 years to save ourselves from the adversity of climate change. If we work to protect the environment, we can get rid of climate change. And this virus is helping us save our mother earth.
Once things go back to normal, fossil fuel will be back on roads and air; the factories would be smoking and polluting again, AC’s and refrigerators would be heating the world again with its poisonous gases; it would all be a waste.
To ensure that we don’t go back to this situation again, let’s start with small changes!
- Cycle To Work: Most of my friends do this; it is not just effective, but also fun! If your work is far, use public transport rather than private car or bike.
- Reduce AC Usage: ACs are one big culprit of climate change. Initially, it would be difficult to reduce or stop the usage, but gradually, we can!
- Educate Yourself And Others: Let’s make sure that we know what climate change is. Climate change is significantly more dangerous than Corona after it unleashes its true colours. Learn about climate change. After you learn what climate change is, educate your friends and family. Some people still think it is fake!
Our earth keeps changing. Climate change was expected to arrive in the far future; however, because of human carelessness, it has reached us sooner. If we, together, as human beings, make a collective effort, we can surely overpower climate change!
Stay home. Stay safe.
