Dinner Table Talks

Indian culture promotes family values and togetherness, we all have read in our books about the culture and rituals of indian family.
Dinner tables play a very important role in keeping the family together, every conversation starts on that table and concludes on the same table.
But in few years everything ended, then they used to do conversations on social media’s.
In this fast moving life this pandemic came as a God for dinner table convos, yes the fire was back on the tables, once again table became the peace and war zone.
This pandemic came with late 90s feels, in early days it was not fun at all because somewhere we were living in the same house but we had been so busy and couldn’t realise that we were going far from each other but pandemic locked us in the same home and we had no place to escape so in starting it was very frustrating sometimes family members couldn’t handle my habits and sometimes I couldn’t digest their over caring nature. There were the days when they couldn’t understand my over busy schedule and then the other days they provided ‘Haldi Doodh’.
So in nut shell we all have grown up a bit I won’t say that this pandemic is, all bed of roses. Family has always been a mess and complicated thing for everyone so this extra time gave us more messy days.
If you ask me about the positive and negative learnings then I can’t describe them, because this family time has been mixture of emotions. Some days were terrible to spend and some days were blessing. Honestly saying, In hostel time I was missing my family but in this quarantine many times I asked myself how can I miss this family but  on the days I realized why were I missing this family.
Every Dinner table  conversation is worthy.
The family will always have love and hate relationship with dinner table conversations.
