Opinion: Rahul Gandhi Emerges As A Politician With Purpose

He was called Pappu, but now a lot has improved. Rahul Gandhi no longer appears to be the same novice. He has now taken the lead and apprising of his physical presence among the people. He is not doing crazy things, but finishing off something that impacts him more near the limelight. A myth has now been broken for all time to come. It was clear through his active protest against the inhuman ruthlessness on a 19-year-old girl. It was an uncommon incident that stumbled everyone.

So far, Rahul Gandhi was a suave politician, but this recent occurrence has made him a complete politician. In our country, only those people were taken to be political leaders who had joined the freedom movement. However, Nehru-Gandhi scion, as he is commonly described in the political arena, has changed this misconception instantly. The way Rahul Gandhi was held by the collar, pushed or thrown on the ground during his onward march to Hathras in Uttar Pradesh showed that he has now licked the bitter taste of politics.

It has been proved that his politics will be based on struggles in favour of people who find themselves hapless in the democratic set-up. What has repeatedly been told about him previously now looks entirely redundant? He is now a proficient politician.

When politicians are protesting on the road against an atrocity committed on a helpless girl, he did not lag in showing sympathy with the dead girl’s family. Though, for other politicians, police brutality is nothing new to them. Rahul Gandhi was facing such an experience probably for the first time. He ably understood the severity of police and did everything to protect himself from it. His message of participating in the common man’s woes was no longer hidden from the world. He instilled a sense of enthusiasm among his political workers who perceived the political qualities of their fearless leader. People are also seeing this and thinking about a radical change in him.
