Modi Ideology Of Hindutva Politics

In the highly competitive world of emerging  markets  India’s democracy  has served  more then ideal cherished by the idealist . After 65 years a dynastic founding party was subsumed by the new blood. But in the six years since Modi won his first election it became clear that his leadership pose an external threat to world largest democracy. The democracy was founded along secular lines that set aside both India’s historical caste system and regular divisions .  When BJP stands in the election it does not merely stand against other parties . It stands on the secular constitutional order on which the India republic was founded. During 2019 elections Modi played the large scale voter by demanding documentation to prove residency leading removal of 70 million Muslims and Dalits . It all started with demonetisation , GST, ED raids , Article 370, multipurpose digital cards and the Ayodhya Verdict. The Citizienship Amendment Act imposed in Assam in 2019 tried to bar Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh between 1951 and 1971. The article 370 imposed in Kashmir which has revoked the autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir. All these activity that the Modi government creates in the middle of economic slowdown is a bit counter intuitive .The  BJP has started to face sustained domestic pressure over its poor handling coronavirus crisis in the country. It was democracy that brought the Modi government in power. But during election voters see Modi not as a politican but as a visionary leader it the citizens who prove themselves worthy and deliver. The recent Hindu dominated large scale protest against the new citizenship laws and citizens registers  targeting Muslims hint at how political tide could turn against Hindu Rastra. The BJP makes the voter to look the on core issue which is used to divert attention from any uncomfortable issue all BJP needs to remind them of the core.  It is too early to say where it will go but the battleground of this conflict is the very soul of India. And stake is the future of democracy in the country.
