No, America isn’t going to be great again. Americans, in the last four years, have seen their dreams crumble; hesitant to give Trump another four years. Trump has tried working on the best responses championing his chance of re-election. Playing up race, rhetoric and region gives him an upper hand over his Democratic rival Joe Biden under any situation.
In many swing states like Texas, Florida, Houston and Wisconsin, the percentage of those supporting Trump sounds higher than those making up their minds for Biden. It’s not going to be any easier for Biden if the undecided thirty per cent of voters prefer to pick upon Trump than Biden. But it also depends on how Biden presents and performs his conduct.
Maybe, his deputy Kamala Harris can devise a strategy by cutting some ice on equality and race. Biden can take up important issues and matters influencing the lives of ordinary Americans. Biden shouldn’t be worried about rising xenophobia as Harris can suitably handle that.
If Biden can disappoint Trump on healthcare and economy, then I am sure the latter will be forced to rethink. On the front of foreign policy, I believe, the latter might hold some leverage by upping the ante against China – as according to Trump – is responsible for the spread of Covid-19 around the world. Might have brokered a peace deal between UAE and Israel, Afghanistan and Taliban or helping Taiwan to resist the onslaught of Communist China. But, does it at all help the ordinary citizens of the USA except for being a momentary illusion of strength and supremacy?
There are many questions, but answers are few, as Trump is afraid to go into the details. Why would he if it unsettles his prospects of re-election? Why should he bother to wear a mask or worry if he can prevent others from infected with Corona? Trump, for now, is working on short-term goals for long-term objectives.
Make America Great Again, as a result, will aspire and inspire a few but continue to guide the destiny of this generation to darkness. Are our American brethren ready to take this plunge in sincerity?
