Poem: The Beating Heart…

Does it throb with a desire unbecoming of a wholesome character? Does it succumb to every whim and fancy? Is it tethered to age-old prejudices, stubborn and unwilling to shed the shackles of distrust? Then, my brethren, a bypass of the unworldly kind is in the offing.

Seek prompt consultation from none other than your conscience and steer the vessel in the right direction. Platitudes apart, gain the companionship of those large-hearted, in practice;

it shall also help immensely to remind yourself that the narrow-minded seek solace in numbers, not quality; it is their way of justifying idiosyncrasies of the worst kind.

Keep your distance therefore, from the hordes that seldom think for themselves and are led mostly by fallacies and fabrications, fashioned from the muck of pack mentality.

Of all the traits that the Almighty cherishes in Adams progeny, the will and the effort to seek and be in the company of the virtuous is the one most admired.

Be with them, soften your heart, make it more flexible, lest it becomes a haven for angst and perpetual unease.
