Poem: The Not So Golden Silence

What have we come to?
Do we really care?

As the lambs lay slaughtered,
And innocence goes threadbare;

As flames engulf the marauded,
And breeds uncouth dare;

Cries all muffled,
Reverberate the air;

Patience has its limits;
Vagabonds beware.
