BJP Promised Vaccine, But Where Is The 1.25 Cr Package And Special Status For Bihar?

Policies and packages were one way of winning the support of the electorate in Bihar. If not, then Mr Prime Minister would have never announced a package of 1.25 lakh crore rupees for Bihar. Though practically, the state never got the package from the centre as was the case with special status for the state in terms of receiving monetary aid and assistance from the centre.

Then how can we trust the same people? I look forward to an honest elucidation from the honourable Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

In the manifesto, released by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the party said, “The NDA government in Bihar has set an example in the fight against novel coronavirus. It is our promise that when a vaccine for COVID is available after clearance from ICMR, every Bihar resident will be given free vaccination.” Photo: Indian Express

When Bihar’s recovery rate against Covid-19 is far far better than any other state, why do they want to create a talk on a vaccine for Bihar? I am not saying that they shouldn’t do it but why not make it universal as a lot of research, innovations and trials ought to be conducted on vaccines.

I don’t see any breakthrough happening any sooner than later. How would BJP ensure 19 lakh jobs for the youth in Bihar? Will the Bihar BJP leadership take this occasion to offer some elaborations on the creation of employment in the state, if they are done with their fractions and frictions that is.

Scars of the lockdown are still afresh in the minds and hearts of the people and they have become deeply cynical of the JDU and BJP alliance in the state. How they were made to walk for long being denied entry into the state. How they were heckled and humiliated by the apparatus of the state government. Discrimination, disease and disparity dominate their consciousness each time they recollect that horror.

Shaken and stunned to the bottom, now everybody would want to count their credits. As for the battle between Nitish and Tejashwi, to me, Chirag appears as if he’s doing a cameo performance at the behest of the BJP. Modi wave may not add to the spark in resurrecting and reviving the fortunes of the saffron party in the state, leave aside the social engineering of smaller castes into the ranks and hierarchy of Hindutva.

Bihar is unlike UP and so is the principle of social equality, justice empowerment here.  Thus, freebies hardly bother anyone here except for a few. Courage, conviction and compassion to conduct the views and opinions of the people with a large-heartedness ensure one’s way and reach. Nitish Kumar reaped from it and now it’s up to Tejashwi Yadav to do the same if he wants to build his case.

But, one thing is for sure. He shouldn’t commit hat Nirmala Tai did in Patna yesterday.
