Though I have been an ardent traveller, a trip to Odisha would always have a special place in my heart. In between my vacations, I desire to go on a trip to Odisha, again.
What I really like about Odisha the most, is the astonishing sea beach pinpointed in Puri. I am awestruck when I watch those waves, it spreads tranquillity all around. Also, it’s said that the waves get thrilled when they see a lot of people.
My second treasured place is the well-known park in Bhubhaneshwar – Nandan Kanan park. I totally love to visit this place just to see those animals, reptiles, and birds. When it comes to food I just can’t wait to describe all those delicious food items I am fond of eating:
- Chenapoda: This mouthwatering sweet dish is made by burning chena or paneer with sugar syrup poured into it. It’s one of the most appetizing sweet dishes I have ever had.
- Santula: It is the typical classical food of Odisha made by boiling vegetables such as raw papaya, brinjal, and tomato, this dish has more greens and fewer spices making it a healthy platter.
- Dahi vada: Though many states also have this food but the streets of Odisha have made this extraordinary by serving it with potato gravy. It blends really well.
- Dalma: Again a very healthy and flavoursome bowl. It is also made by boiling different green vegetables and daal, after which they put a tadka into it which makes you want to slurp it more and more.
The Bhubaneswar Airport or Biju Patnaik International Airport connects the city with the rest of the country by air. There are daily flights for Bhubaneswar from cities like New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Visakhapatnam.
The memories I have with Odisha will never fade away. I dwell in happiness when it comes to Odisha. Also, I won’t stop exploring different destinations rather I would keep on travelling and definitely make it reminiscent.
