So, another fascinating topic, right? Let me share more interesting questions that puzzled us very much in our childhood and their elicited funky answers.
What came first: egg or chicken? What are these spots that appear when we look at the bright sun? Are zebras white or black? What came first: DNA or protein? What came first: cell or virus? What came first: seed or plant? Tired? These are some unanswerable and tricky questions I’ve personally collected from my childhood days that would drive me crazy. They were perplexing.
By the way, we came here to discuss questions on creation. We know we are made up of millions and millions of cells. How, then, is a cell created? Where did these cells come from? Obviously, God created them. We live on a planet called Earth. But where is Earth situated? In the Milky Way galaxy. Where is this Milky Way galaxy? In the universe. Where is this universe and who created the universe? Well, God.
Well, you’re wrong.
Don’t give up, let you thoughts wander again. Where did water come from? From rain. Where did rain come from? Clouds. How do clouds produce rain? By evaporation and with the help of a sun. Where is the sun? In space. How was space created? By the fusion of hydrogen and helium. Who created hydrogen and helium? God did.
All our inquiries lead to God, since we believe God is the maker.
Our ancestors’ answer to any unknown was also God, which perhaps, led them to believe that God made everything. Who created him then? During the evolution, the world was so scary a place that even peeps as tough as the Vikings believed in supernatural beings. This belief helped them make sense of natural happenings like lightning and thunder, and made them comfortable.
Even though nowadays, science provides valuable answers for these questions, many peeps still cling to religion. This is because religion gives them comfort and they do not trust or understand science.
You, I, table, books and every single piece of thing in this universe has come from dust and will turn into dust. They are all under the control of the law of nature. For instance, if you throw a ball at a speed of 5km/s on September 24, 2020, from the first floor of the building, it will reach the ground in the same amount of time that it will take if you repeat the experiment in 2046, or later. This is the law of nature. Even God cannot make a ball move upwards against gravity. We cannot redefine or destroy a law of nature — according to one law of nature, energy neither be created nor be destroyed.
Who are the gods then? Where are they? It is an ancient conflict. We have all imagined and believed that God was a human-like being. But the bitter as well as sweet truth is that he is everything. If you still believe in God, then he is the whole universe and each of its pieces. But if you believe in science like me, then the universe was a small dense singular point at the beginning of time and spontaneously exploded within very few microseconds. It it still expanding. Belief is an individual’s own interest, but don’t forget to smell and taste science.
We are created from dust and end up as dust. In the midst of this journey, we run behind fame and all manner of things. Why should we do that? Let’s enjoy life journey because it is more precious than you expected. Appreciate what you have.
