Quick Byte: The Hathras Incident Is A Wake Up Call For The Youth

TW: Mention of rape and sexual assault.

In Hathras, the rape of a 19-year-old woman showed how our previous generations do not care about sexual assault against the youth. The youth is missing from decision-making, and the media is distracting us from resolving to fight on such necessary issues.

We, as the youth, should focus on the strong implementation of sexual education as an imperative agenda.

Representational image.

When has a party promised to fight on issues of prevention of sexual assault, or just jobs and education? They just give cliché promises that haven’t changed with time. It is time all the youth organizations should unite and struggle for a solution to end sexual assault. I feel that just protests won’t achieve liberty, but we have to fight in the courts, in the farms, in the administration departments. Strength lies in unity.

Problems of sexual assault won’t be resolved if we don’t fight with a clear conscience and an organization across India. This problem will only be solved when the youth takes to the street.

Its time for the youth to take the initiative to fight in various positions.
