Every year on the occasion of Kali Pujo, Bholanath Dham’s Ajoy Dutt takes the initiative to paint the sky with his and many others’ sky lanterns or fanush.
Through Fanush Utsav, Ajoy babu ensures every person gets a glimpse of the magnificent and majestic hot air balloons. Hundreds of photographers and others assemble on this day at the house and occupy the three floors, including the terrace, to capture the captivating confluence of art and science.
The age-old tradition of making fanush might soon travel to oblivion if the next generation doesn’t pick up. 
However, till the time Ajoy Dutt and his likes are there, the skies will keep getting the hot air visitors every year. The festival won’t happen this year because of the pandemic. If everything goes right then in the year 2021, the skyline of Kolkata will light up again.
