How This Sholay Dialogue Landed A Police Officer In Trouble!

Gabbar Singh’s dialogue still reflects on the chattering tongue of the police, though mothers appear to have left the tradition of making the little one sleep by inducing a deep sense of fear after invoking this dialogue.This 25 years old dialogue is said to have seeped into our advanced society through the iconic film. With many of the fear-mongering utterances that were brought into wide use solely for terrifying the weeping child, this particular one became more popular indeed.

If it has emerged from the reel world, the child in the family did not understand the marked difference. The little one easily slips into the hour-long sleep while the mothers did not feel contrary otherwise to apply the helpful tricks in order to enhance enough dread in the child’s mind. It was a kind of powerful counterbalance.

At present we have been facing acute challenges like symptoms of cabin fever and stress, least exposure to daylight and restricted social interaction, all of which can have an adverse effect on our mood. Despite all these factors, it’s no surprise that the dialogues of the Bollywood film Sholay still has the power to create dread among the kids today as actor Amjad Khan’s fierce dialogue in the film caused terror in the filmy village.

The pandemic has of course negatively impacted our wellbeing, but our mood does not remain totally buoyant. Recently uttering of this iconic dialogue, a Madhya Pradesh police officer landed in trouble. He has been served with a show-cause notice after he was caught on camera shouting the film dialogue on a loudspeaker while on patrol duty in Jhabua district, about 300 km from state capital Bhopal, as the NDTV news noted.
