Why Is Uplifting A Woman’s Position In Society Still Considered A Stigma?

Dear patriarchy, you think you are the driving source of this society, but let me remind you one thing: you have aged now. Those who have been following you since ages are actually quite tired of the shackles you put around their own daughters, wives and mothers.

It’s shameful to see a girl being forced to give up her dreams and robbed of the chance for a better future. Patriarchy has blossomed immensely due to our own attitudes. As per the Global Gender Equality Index 2019, nearly 40% of the women and girls in the world face inequalities. We get such indices highlighting gender gaps every year.

It’s good to see that many countries are giving ample opportunities to their women, but it’s very important to sensitize the people living in rural and semi-urban areas of the country for whom uplifting a woman’s position in society is still a stigma.

The women who feel their rights have been snatched by the demons of patriarchy are now waking up and demanding their rights. And women who have already broken those shackles need to come out and help others do the same and help them escape the prison of limitations to harness their true potential. Women are entitled to be a part of every sector, including political, social, defence, and economical, in the same numbers as their male counterparts.

Dear women, do convey this message to all the women who are residing in regions where they are kept unaware of their rights.

Break the shackles of patriarchy and keep moving!!
