To Hatiram Chaudhary, Thank You For Being An Inspirational Police Officer

To,
Hathi Ram Chaudhary,
Sub-Inspector,
Thana- Outer Yamuna Paar,
New Delhi- 110092.

I feel so happy that I got this opportunity in my life to pen down a heartfelt note, not to a cop, but to a father, a husband and a friend.

From the first day, when you reached your home late and drunk, you just asked your wife to give you a champi (head massage) because the next day was going to be a big day for you. And it was a big day indeed, you’d got a good case after years, and you were extremely tired. But all that Mrs Renu Chaudhary was interested in was your promotion. I thank you for not being a violent police officer or I would say a husband, when you calmly accepted a tight slap from your wife (Oh by the way, it was a tit for tat).

When you reached the station the next day and went ahead with the case, you gave a perfect example of what friendship is. You were a friend, philosopher and guide to Ansari. From allowing him short breaks to dropping him at the UPSC office on the D Day, you not only aided him to relieve his extra stress, but also helped him manage his budding emotions.

Jaideep Ahlawat as Hatiram Chaudhary

And to my most favourite part, whatever a man will be outside his house, a father will be a father forever. A father will go to every pinnacle to protect his child and do anything for him. You, Mr Chaudhary, not a top notch government official, tried his best to get his son admitted in Delhi’s most elite school (extremely prestigious) — from where Sanjeev Mehra completed his schooling.

But I can’t miss my favourite scene, where you just killed sir, when you went to Anil bhai to return his gun and said, “Aur aaj pache kadi mere chore ki or aankh utha kar bhi dekh lia,” followed by a plethora of foul words.

So ya, I just want to say a big thank you for not beating your son just as your father did to his son.

It has been amazing watching you for 10 days, your character has impinged my soul.

Thanking you,
Yours Lovingly,
Someone’s Daughter.
