Kangana And The Use And Abuse Of Networks In Tinsel Town

kangana ranaut

Well, Kangana Ranaut has been hogging the limelight in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. If I rightly remember, it was on 15 June, the day Sushant was cremated at Vile Parle, that she upped the ante against Bollywood. Kangana chose to be brave and bold irrespective of the situation and circumstances. She is taking up the responsibility to expose those with influence and clout in the industry.

Last evening she was narrating her ordeal to Arnab Goswami of the Republic. How her struggle for occupying this fame and position began, and what all went into the making? Drugs became the central point in her argument as she detailed its consequences on her personal and professional life. There is an abuse and misuse of one’s power whenever it comes to arranging and organising a rave party — only those fortunate access bettering their material prospects. For the rest, the race is long and hard.

Sushant Singh Rajput, who was a meticulous artist and achiever, didn’t initially believe it. Kangana points out that this becomes the reason for his isolation and neglect in an industry where obedience and loyalty matters. Sushant should have been a little vocal and outspoken in presenting his opinions and views. He desisted from doing it to get a sense of his taste and orientation. Maybe, this became the trigger for the tragic step he took on the afternoon of 14 June. Shouldn’t Bollywood be blamed and booked in the first place?

I have got my reasons to list if not for those who are managing the industry quietly from within. It’s my humble appeal to the directors and producers to value merit more than anything. Though nepotism is a face and fact of our set structure, still priority should be given to the one who has the ability, prowess and command to prove themselves on the silver screen. Otherwise, the question doesn’t arise as we will settle, making our choices for a Nawazuddin Siddiqui or an Ayushmann Khurrana film.

Why do people in Bollywood not accept an attempt to systematic structural overhaul? At whose insistence are you backing off? If you don’t, then this industry will become static and stagnant with hardly any takers. Although I am not a fan and follower of Kangana, I purchase her points of drug, contacts and connections as an entry point for shooting to fame and prominence here. If I am right, Kangana?
