One Cannot Reach An Enlightened State Of Mind While Looking For Reason And Logic

“Mind is a flow of thoughts… if there are no thoughts there is no mind.”
– Swami Chinmayananda

Meditation is a very subjective concept. It is a process where you disconnect from what’s going on around you and reconnect to your inner self. Mindful meditation includes focusing on your breathing. You can also chant any simple word during your meditation session that will help you to regain your focus from all distracting thoughts. It must be practiced for at least 20 minutes if you are a beginner. But make sure you make a habit to do so every day, only then will it benefit you.

Meditation demands a thought-free mind. To understand why, we should know that when we are sleeping, the brain remains active because we are dreaming. Our mind projects random thoughts during our sleep. Such sleep cannot be called healthy sleep because your mind is active in this state. In some cases, we sleep beyond the designated time. Suppose you go to sleep after a hectic day. After waking up the next morning, you feel like you had just gone to bed a few minutes ago, but it’s actually been 6-8 hours. That is because during this time, your mind was thought-free.

Meditation demands a thought-free mind.

By meditating every day, you can discover the best version of yourself. That is because when you meditate, you are open to all your thoughts. You might even achieve a state called the ‘Astral Plane Stage’, but this is rare and can only be achieved through advanced meditation. The main problem with today’s youth is that they don’t accept meditation in itself, but consider it as something that was practiced by old sages.

Whereas, meditation is usually helpful to youths like us who deal with a lot of stress of the modern world. If you are a beginner and don’t know where to start, would be advisable to join a mediation school nearby. You can take the help of a guru. Nowadays, there are many meditation groups that will be happy to assist beginners.

The YSS (Yagoda Satsanga Society of India), founded by Yogananda Paramhansa, is a great example. One often tends to believe that things that can easily be explained by logic are scientific and true. However, if we apply this attitude towards everything, we will not be able to reach an enlightened state of mind. Modern beings question our existence because of such orthodoxy. If we truly think about it, what we assume to be the truth of human origination and existence is just random logic that happens to makes sense to human minds.

After a meditation session, you perceive the world in a very different manner. Colours look brighter and more saturated. You understand this world from a different point of view.
