Indian media is a mixed bag of perspectives. However, when it comes to religion, the minority gets protection from the so-called secular media. Equality when it comes to religion is something that media then manipulates in terms of perspective.
Wheather it is rape,misdoings,attakcs on religious workers the media pulls out their private agenda at times. While a lot of similar bits go unnoticed and un reported as they would harm them by reporting the mis doings of the minorities.
Even in the most educated familiies specially Christianity, if its is an inter-religion marraige the spouse has to convert into christianity. The church pastors in their services preach hatred towards specially Hindus and the temples and the entire belief system. This is not secular from any angle. As these will not get them any TRPs or any kind of mileage, In a country which is so secular, democratic, converting your faith is still so active. A stat from a church was scary where they convert and baptize about 50,000 people on monthly basis. There are various factors that are used in converting, targeting the poor, providing them food and shelter, demonstrating fake miracles are all part of the organization.
I am a simple Jain girl from a middle class family, who in some vulnerable circumstances married into a Christian family, As we all dream about a great future we sometimes are slapped with the realities to be faced. I would have never known about all these happennings had i not attended the church and the kind of hatred ws preached and people being brain washed. The kids are trained to not make Hindu friends and the chruch run orphanages are their operating grounds to increase the christian population. When one disagrees to listen to the preaching you are not being open to knowing. There is so much a diff/erence between being open to listen and changing the belief system.
Will media report that hindus are manipulated and turned against their own belief system in their own country that allowed all the religions to flourish.
After the American verdict, Kamala Harris who has been so beautifully raised getting the best of both the worlds, culture,religion, tradition which shaped her as a human being. Back here we are still busy converting people and changing the faith system, Instead influencing the people in doing good, chasing dreams and being kind.
I am not here to talk hatred, but to highlight a certain set of issues that go unnoticed while protecting and showcasing all is ok. while these make a lot of difference as the vulnerabilities are channeled to redirect people’s faith in return of money support and other activities.
